“Life is short and messy. Don’t postpone living until life gets neater or easier or less frantic or more enlightened. This is it. And it will change. Choose life in all the small ways you can, every day.”
This quote is a reminder, especially to my fellow perfectionists, that there will never be a perfect time to start living. Don’t wait until you lose weight, find a partner, have a child, retire or get the perfect house or job. Your life will pass you by while you’re waiting. The only thing that is guaranteed in this life is that it is finite. Use your time wisely and find joy and meaning in the messiness.
