“Life is like a game of Monopoly. You may own hotels on Boardwalk or you may be renting on Baltic Avenue. But in the end, it all goes back in the box.” by Andy Andrews (The Noticer)
I recently read the book ‘The Noticer’ and found many quotes that resonated with me. The above quote struck me. We spend so much time comparing ourselves to others and striving to “keep up with the Joneses”…for what purpose? As human beings, we all share the same game of life and deserve the same equal rights, including shelter, food and education for our children. Once your basic needs are taken care of, isn’t it our responsibility to share with our neighbors? Is it necessary to hold onto all of our excessive holdings while others go without? As the saying goes, “You can’t take it with you”.
